Middle School Drama Teacher

An international Middle School is looking for a full-time Drama Teacher in Shanghai starting from August 2022. You’ll be responsible for teaching 25 periods a week and for guiding students in their independent drama report shows. Be responsible for English activities required by the Head of English Department, student Advertisement, homeroom and area assigned duty.
Job Responsibilities:
Teach Middle School English drama as assigned. Involve written drama work from time to time.
Responsible for marking students’ work and providing them with the necessary feedback, criticism, encouragement and support.
Responsible for helping students prepare for crucial examinations and directing end-of-year English drama report shows.
Work together with English teachers to build students’ strong English proficiency.
Work collaboratively with other colleagues in the Middle School and across division.
Keep drama skills fresh, keep up-to-date on new teaching methods and developments in the curriculum.
Design a developmentally appropriate curriculum. Maintain lesson plans, semester plans and notes on learning and goals.
Maintain an actively engaged classroom environment.
Assess and document student work, instruct and assess students and parents about student performance and behavior.
Participate in parent teacher conferences as necessary.
Sustain frequent contact with students and parents about student performance and behavior.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required, Master degree preferred.
Teaching Credentials from respectable universities preferred.
Previous related teaching experience highly preferred
Salary and benefits:
Salary: 20,000 – 25,000 RMB per month
Housing Allowance: 6,000 RMB per month
Health insurance: provided National holidays paid
