Responsibilities
As a teacher in a public school your main responsibilities shall include:
Creating and designing lesson plans around the curriculum, for an engaging yet educational environment for the students.
Teach lessons to high quality, meeting school expectations.
Create a strong professional relationship with students and co-workers to encourage cross-cultural integration.
Requirements to teach in China:
Speaks English at an Idiomatic level.
Degree: Bachelor’s degree or above (Education, linguistics or English degree has given top priority).
Experience: TEFL / other teaching certificate or 2 years of teaching experience required.
Relocate: Must be willing to relocate to China.
Position Details:
Student age range: 6 – 12 / 15 – 18 years old
Class size: 25 – 40 students per class, varies on grade level
Class length: 40-45 minutes
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 30 hours a week including teaching and office hours.
Curriculum: Every school follows the national curriculum for English classes, which includes; speaking, listening, writing and reading. Teachers create their own lesson plans according to the curriculum
Chinese Teaching Assistant: Provided for 1st month of teaching only.
Orientation: Paid orientation program upon arrival.
Your compensation will include:
Before-tax: USD 2280 (16,000 RMB).
Housing: Provided by the school.
Other benefits include:
Lunch provided
Free Chinese language lessons
Insurance: basic Chinese medical cover
Contract completion bonus: USD 780 (5,000 RMB) only upon fulfillment of the contract.
TEFL: free online program provided before arrival.
Public Holiday: All Chinese public holidays + 25th December paid off.
Annual Holiday: Winter holiday fully paid. Summer holiday no pay.
Sick Leave
Flight: One way to China.
Visa: Assistance to obtain legal Z Work Visa.
Arrival: Airport Pickup assistance.
