Employer: The iconic broadcaster of news on TV in China
Key Responsibilities:
1.Participate and supervise program format output for General News.
2.Advise on line up, writing, picture editing, and all aspects of program production.
3.Help generate unique angles and creative ideas for General news, suggest backgrounders and interview questions for top news;
4.Participate and supervise program planning for General News, including daily planning, weekly planning, medium & long-term planning and planning for special programs. Instruct and follow up the production process;
5.Evaluate the content, format, and slot arrangement of for General News and submit reports accordingly. Give advice on program quality improvement; Help to evaluate the skills of staff of general news.
6.Draw plans and organize trainings accordingly;
7.Follow the new techniques and ways of news presentation and advice on ways to improve visual presentation of program, including the use of studio and editing of individual stories;
8.Advise on improving work flow, work standard, workforce management, etc. and help the producer to resolve problems;
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
1.Bachelor degree.
2.At least 4 years of experience in news reporting or gathering, preferably at an overseas TV network.
3.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
4.Experienced at responding to changing circumstances and breaking news. Remains calm and patient under pressure.
5.Strong interest in China and APAC countries.
6.Positive approach and proactive working style.
7.Must be able to work irregular hours and work an extended schedule as the news cycle and deadlines require.
8.Fluent English speaker.
