Senior Accountant

Spanish company in the machinery industry, established since 1970's and based in Suzhou since 2014 is looking for a Head Accountant to lead their financial department.
The ideal candidate will have substantial exposure to monthly closing processes, forecasting and budgeting, and customer billing. They will be organized and approach each issue with an analytical mindset.
As Head of Finance Department you will report directly to General Manager in China.
Responsibilities
- Ensure business transactions are reported in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
- Work closely with team members to assist with the month-end close
- Introduce all the relevant information into the company's ERP software
- Provide accurately all relevant recording, reporting, and analysis of financial information to GM in China and to headquarters Financial Director in Spain
- Identify areas for improvement and implement improvements to processes
- Assist with the annual audit process including the draft of the financial statements and related notes
- Research and analyze expense variances for company management
- Aid in the implementation of new accounting policies, standards, and guidelines
Qualifications
- 7+ years' of professional accounting/finance experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent experience
- Demonstrate intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge of Excel, as well as other Microsoft Office applications
- Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience with ERP software
- Fluent in english / Mandarin mother tongue (Spanish would be a plus)
