Job Title: Dance Instructor
Salary: 13,000 – 15,000 RMB + bonuses & benefits.

The Chengdu branch of this reputable dance academy is the school’s fourth location in China, with three branches already established in Shenzhen.
The academy basis its dance approach on the idea that dance should be the full demonstration of human thoughts through body language instead of an interpretation of formalism. This dance philosophy is free from the hollowness and mechanism of traditional dance. It expresses the emotions and desires that rise from the soul.
The curriculum followed by the academy is the same as that which has been adopted by schools across Europe and the Americas.
Key Responsibilities:
Work together with the rest of the dance academy team to coordinate and deliver the academy’s dance curriculum.
Manage different age groups responsibly and appropriately, from 2-year-old to adult students.
Demonstrate correct method and procedure to students.
Observe and evaluate students’ progress and make appropriate suggestions for improvement.
Prepare students for dance recitals and occasional theatre performances when necessary.
Choreograph and teach dance routines across all levels and age groups.
Requirements:
An ability to convey one’s own love of dance to young pupils, inspiring them to develop the same creative passion.
Open-minded, easy-going, patient and responsible.
Be proficient in ballet, modern dance, and possibly street dance/Latin styles.
Excellent communication skills.
Bachelor’s Degree or above, ideally with relevant professional dance accreditation(s).
Experience living abroad preferred but not required.
Benefits & Bonuses:
13,000 – 15,000 CNY base salary.
2000 CNY monthly accommodation allowance, and assistance with finding nearby housing.
Annual bonus of one month’s salary upon contract completion.
Paid national holidays and extended, fully-paid Spring Festival holiday (2 weeks as opposed to standard 1-week break), plus 5 days paid annual leave for the first year (increasing to 10 days if contract is re-signed).
Legal Work Visa fully supported by the dance academy.
Accident & medical insurance provided.
Regular team-building activities provided, including monthly team meal.
Regular staff training sessions held within the academy, ranging from one-day to one-week, to ensure all dance teachers are continuing their own professional development and staying up-to-date with current industry trends.
Additional Information:
Maximum of 50 teaching classes per month, approximately 1 to 3 classes to be taught per day.
Each class is 1 hour to 1.5 hours long.
Majority of students aged between 2 to 9 years old, with more older students expected to enrol later on in 2019.
Chinese dance assistant provided for every class.
Typical class size ranges from 5 to 12 students. VIP classes are available and would be 1-on-1 or just a few students.
Working Hours: 10am – 7pm (Wednesday to Friday) with 2-hour lunch break; 9am – 7pm (Saturday & Sunday) with 1-hour lunch break.
Excellent working location in Chengdu along Metro Line 1 (two minutes walk from the Metro station).
Excellent working environment in high-end services building, with 9 fully-equipped, professional dance studio rooms, presentation room, meeting rooms, and large office space.
