Job Location: Shanghai, China
Job Title: Business Development Manager
Direct Reporting to: Managing Director
Description: To be the local head of Carlisle Design Studio’s business development activity, responsible for driving the company’s expansion plans across all of China over the next 5 years.
Main Responsibilities:
§ Establish a pan China network of business and personal contacts focusing on Ultra High Net Worth Individuals (UHNWI), Luxury Real Estate Developers, Hospitality Groups, High End Food & Beverage Restaurants, VIP Corporate companies and other targets of similar luxury net worth status.
§ Generate leads for Interior Design projects independently and to follow up with fee proposals to be issued in coordination with the MD.
§ Orchestrate and deliver the pitches to potential clients through face to face meetings.
§ Generate annual budgets for the BD office in Shanghai inclusive of all target revenues and running costs.
§ Identify and establish relationships with company ambassadors across China to increase the business development footprint through signing referral agreements with CDS in return for introductory fees.
§ Assist company directors in generating Chinese presentation material for different clients or companies.
§ Assist CDS in all its Chinese operations, namely issuing proposals, reviewing and formalising contracts as well as any other activity specific to the officialization of new projects.
§ Manage the administrative side of the local CDS legal entity and assist in the expansion of the office setup should it become necessary.
§ Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly reports on BD performance during meetings with the MD.
§ Identify BD strategy for gaining exposure in the Chinese market including but not limited to:
i. Assist CDS in establishing a larger social media exposure in the Chinese market through WeChat or other means.
ii. identify and target leading industry publications for CDS exposure.
iii. Recommending attendance at Chinese conferences or exhibitions promoting
CDS.
