Operations Manager

We are looking for an entrepreneurial individual, with experience in Mainland China, who wishes to join management as an early employee in an exciting start-up environment. The role will cover all operations and business development of the company, working closely with the CEO.
Job Objectives:
To support the CEO in developing the business and gaining scale rapidly. The company is moving from a start-up phase to a growth phase while designing and implementing technology. The role will be to manage the operations and other teams in order to ensure that the immediate and long term objectives are achieved, operations run smoothly and the growth plan is executed. Based in Shanghai, this role will involve a considerable amount of travel, predominantly around China and to London.
Responsibilities
As an early member of a fast growing and developing business you will have a hand in all aspects of the development of company operations.
• Daily Operations - To manage and motivate a team whilst creating an operational work environment focused on productivity, efficiency and fun
• Project Management - To execute and project manage new business development initiatives in conjunction with management
• Developing and refining teams and systems
• Marketing and event support

Experience
• At least two years in a management role
• At least 5 years in China
• Excellent communication skills including fluent spoken English.
• Working grasp of Mandarin
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask
• Experience in a growth company environment
• Proven track record of people management and team motivation
• Familiarity with technology enabled workflow and process improvement environments
• Understanding of organisational structure and building teams
• Strong work ethic and a desire to contribute to a growing business
