1.What should you know about our school
Also known as Meten English or METEN, was founded in 2006. We are a leading language training institute with domestic head offices in Beijing and Shenzhen as well as international offices in New York and Los Angeles.
We provide various programs including Meten General English, Meten Standardized Tests Preparations, Meten Overseas Services, Meten Preparatory Academy (G7-12), Meten VIP Online.With over 80 learning centers across China, Meten now staffs a team of over 3000 professionals in ESL teaching, educational research and development, marketing and tutoring services.
Meten aims at bringing together global resources to empower more Chinese learners with English skills so that their international education goals are met and more Chinese dreams are fulfilled.
2. Why Chengdu ?
Chengdu is the capital of southwestern China's Sichuan province. Chengdu's history dates back to at least the 4th century B.C., when it served as capital for the Shu Kingdom. Artifacts from that dynasty are the focus of the Jinsha Site Museum.
The city is also home to the famous Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, a conservation center where visitors can view endangered giant pandas in a natural habitat.
Robin Chiang, Kayak’s country head for Asia Pacific, said according to booking statistics Australian travellers were typically spending about 14 days Chengdu.
“It’s no surprise Chengdu has topped this year’s list — this growing economic hub of China is experiencing extraordinary growth and is undoubtedly the up-and-comer in the country’s booming tourism and trade market,” he said.
3. Teaching experience at Meten Chengdu
Student age : 10 - 40 years old
Class size : 8 - 10 students / class
5 working days : Wednesday - Sunday
2 days off / week : Monday - Tuesday
25 teaching hours per week and 10 office hours to prepare for classes and complete training sessions provided by Meten
Teaching assistant available
4. Salary and benefits
Contract length : One year
Probation Period : 2 months
Monthly salary is RMB 12,500 - 14000 RMB during probation period
Monthly salary after probation will be RMB 13,000 - 15000 RMB
Housing allowance: RMB 2000 per month
Air ticket allowance: RMB 8000 per year
Quarterly bonus: based on work performance, the full bonus is RMB 2500
Up to RMB 2000 per document authentication (Degree, TEFL, Criminal Record Check)
Annual leave: 10 days
Insurance: One year Accident and Health Insurance coverage.
Visa : The company will apply and pay for the Employee’s work visa expenses
5. Requirement
We are looking for 5 Native English teachers who holds :
At least a BA degree
Passion for education and love working with teenager and adult
Teaching certificate or 2 years teaching experience
