New Products Development Engineer

We are a Brazilian company working with electronics, TV and telecommunications, white line, brown line products, with an Office in Shenzhen, looking for engineers that like to face defying demands, having the challenge to develop new business opportunities.
You must have good technical and organization skills to handle several works related to New Products Development, mostly related to Electronics and Telecommunication. Personal communication is a must, in order to tune the works ran in China in close synchronization with the activities performed by the headquarter team in Brazil.
Our wide range of activities include from purchasing commodities for simple products up to design totally new concept products tailored to match the Brazilian Consumers and this wide range of duties that will give you the opportunity to manage a whole design process from concepts to the final product approval.
FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for identifying trends, suppliers and new products based in the market analysis, specially based on the relationship with current and potential suppliers;
• Search for suppliers, solutions and products related to (mainly but not restricted to) TV, Telecom, Security and Solar Energy markets. Build a database of potential suppliers for Elsys;
• Management of current partners and projects on-going, guaranteeing the timeline of the projects, raising the technical issues during the process, and creating plans and alternatives to overcome them;
• Build a partnership relationship with selected suppliers, discovering and developing mid and long term opportunities;
• Support the supplier qualification process, helping to assess the overall quality and final design quality assurance;
• Search for new product opportunities, identifying those that are consistent with Elsys strategy and suitable for the Brazilian market.
REQUIREMENTS
• 10 years experienced in new business development in China, with a solid knowledge of the Electronics market;
• Proven experience in identifying, developing and launching new products;
• Fluent English and Mandarin;
• Desirable experience working with Brazil or Latin America, and Portuguese speaking;
• Availability to travel to other cities;
• Driver license and own car is desirable (not mandatory).
