Short Description:
Our partner in Shijiazhuang is looking for an eager and creative individual to fulfill the full-time position as a high school instructor at their institution. Located in the city center, the high school serves grades 8 – 12 year students that are aiming to study overseas after their secondary students. The candidate would focus on English and College Readiness classes like academic writing, business English, and western culture. With a Mon – Sat workday, but only 24 hours total, the compensation package starts at 25,000RMB per month and can increase to 28,000 depending on qualifications. Housing will be provided and food will be covered during the working hours. One round trip flight and visa assistance will also be part of the package.
Position at a glance:
• Start Date: As soon as possible.
• Compensation: Starting at 25,000RMB, negotiable based off of experience and credentials.
• Benefits: housing stipend, one round trip flight reimbursement, visa assistance, SIM card purchase, and bank account assistance
High School Instructor Responsibilities:
• Total 24 hours of teaching from Monday to Saturday.
• Monitor, assist, and provide written and oral formative assessment to students as they work independently, in pairs, and in group settings
• Encourage 21st century instruction in order for students to develop 21st century skills
• Build growth mindset in students and help each individual student grow academically and socially
• Provide college admissions consulting and serve as a North America college ambassador
High School Instructor Requirements:
• BA or BS degree from the U.S., U.K., or Canada is preferred (other locations are negotiable)
• A minimum of two years of teaching experience is preferred, but can be substituted through a combination of relevant experience and top-tier education credentials
• Ability to speak and write in standard English at the post-baccalaureate level
• Enthusiasm for student-centered instruction and creation of a 21st century learning environment where learning and teaching is focused on student growth and development
