English Teacher at Haikou Training School

Hainan YUDA Foreign Language Academy
in Haikou, Hainan Province
We are looking for cooperative professionals interested in teaching bright kids ages 6-17.
Our students come to us, a small family run school, during the weeknights for two hours and on the weekends for five hours each day to gain extra help in learning English. Your schedule will directly reflect the school's, and there are no additional office hours, only a weekly meeting every Thursday morning.
Mondays and Tuesdays are off days. No work Wednesday or Friday mornings.
Work week is a maximum of 16 hours.
Your salary will range from 7,000 to 10,000rmb a month, depending on your experiences and qualifications.
You will receive roughly 10 weeks of full paid vacation time off per contract year, as well a bi-annual bonus of 10,000rmb on completion of each term. (This upcoming year we have 93 paid days off.)
A large apartment located downtown is provided by the school. It comes furnished and staff are always ready to assist employees in repairing or buying what is needed for the house. (The apartments are seriously nice.)
The school pays for, assists in obtaining and is responsible for all aspects regarding applying for the Working "Z" Visa.
Curriculum texts are provided. We use English World Textbooks which have levels One to Ten, then sort classes by student and ability. Class sizes average 10 students. You will be responsible for deriving lesson plans from these texts and sourcing outside materials to aid in your teaching. Curriculum texts are completely in English. We encourage immersion, so no prior knowledge of Chinese Language is fine. Personal Computers and corresponding audio provided by the school. You will be set up with a wealth of lesson materials waiting for you prepared by current teachers.
Chinese staff is extremely responsive and willing to help at any notice with whatever concerns you have be it related to the job or your life in Haikou.
Requirements:
Must be living in or have lived in China, current Z Visa preferable
Able to start teaching at the beginning of March 2018, earlier arrival encouraged
Bachelors Degree in any subject
Minimum one year teaching experience
Absence of Criminal Record
ESL Certification
Must be a native English speaker
Be able to obtain a general health check confirming good health and absence of serious communicable disease
Provide a letter of reference and release from current employer if already working in China
Provide valid Foreign Worker's Permit if already in China
Our school is the longest running training center in Haikou with over 20 years experience. We have a good reputation within the community and don't advertise, instead we receive our students via word of mouth. Most of the students go on to be fluent and are very successful in their primary schools. We are looking for high quality teachers who aren't in it just to make a buck and live in China, but actually care about the success and well-being of the kids.
