Assistant Professor of Practice in Electrical Engineering

Northern Arizona University’s School of Informatics, Computing and Cyber Systems invites applications in the area of Electrical Engineering (EE) to support an exciting joint dual degree program with the Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications (CQUPT) in Chongqing, China. NAU faculty rotate to teach EE classes in English during the first three years of the program (typically one per semester), before students transfer to NAU in Flagstaff for their final year. Classes in Chongqing are 12 weeks long, starting in early September and again in late February, and faculty must live and work in Chongqing during those times. Faculty rotate back to the Flagstaff campus to teach classes as program needs dictate. Transportation to CQUPT, free housing, and some incidentals are provided when teaching at CQUPT. The base salary range for this position is $68,000 to $73,000, depending upon qualifications. An additional stipend of $10,000 per semester is provided when teaching at CQUPT, up to $20,000 per year.
