Job Description
Be part of a focused, talented team that is creating China's first platform for product discovery and reviews. We want to empower our users to become smarter consumers by building an honest, interactive community where they can engage with their peers. You will be helping us achieve this goal by maintaining the online technology that our site uses in day-to-day business and producing and testing the new features of the platform.
Key Responsibilities:
• Is responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our platform
• Integrate data from various back-end services and databases
• Ensure site security and connectivity
• Monitor site performance (availability, utilization, speed, and latency) and test for weakness
• Support and administer third-party applications
• Resolve problems reported by end user
Skills & Knowledge:
• Proven working experience in web programming and/or Mobile App development.
• Experience with (LAMP) Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP
• A solid understanding of how web and mobile applications work including security, session management, and best development practices
• Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills
• Experience at integrating features from China’s social networks ( Wechat, Sina Weibo and others)
• Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines.
• BS in computer science or a related field
• Proficient in Chinese and English (Verbal and Written)
• Spanish or Korean communication skill are a plus
