Interior Design Intern

LINK Group is a real estate development company based out of Shanghai, China. We acquire and renovate residential apartments, office buildings, warehouses, and hostels in the greater Shanghai area. The company is divided into two departments; the investment side, who engages in collecting capital from cross border investment; and the developer side, who is responsible for design, renovation and maintenance. Duties and Tasks
Estimate material requirements and costs, present design to client for approval
Confer with client to determine factors affecting planning interior environments
Advise client on interior design factors, such as space planning, layout and utilization of furnishings and equipment, and color coordination
Select or design, and purchase furnishings, art works, and accessories
Render design ideas in form of paste-ups or drawings
Requirements and Skills
Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite and design software such as AutoCAD, Photoshop, CorelDraw, Adobe Illustrator.
Artistic ability in using the sense of style, developing designs that look great and are aesthetically appealing.
Creativity and enthusiasm, interns should be imaginative in selecting furnishings and fabrics and in creating spaces that serve the client’s needs and fit the client’s lifestyle.
Good Interpersonal and Organization skills in order to be able to communicate effectively with clients and collaborating with other designers on ongoing projects.
Excellent problem-solving skills that will assist in addressing challenges, such as the high cost or sudden unavailability of selected materials, while keeping the project on time and within budget
What you will learn
As an intern you will learn how to deal with different types of software, maintaining the
virtual system of the company. You will be able to learn or improve program
languages and data base skills. Moreover, you will acquire additional skills like
leadership, problem solving, versatility and many more.
