Education Consultants/ Counselors

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree from a top US university or college
- Enthusiasm for mentoring students, and ability to develop and maintain good relationships with
students, parents, Next Level staff, admissions officers, and industry practitioners
- Excellent skills in managing details, deadlines(Busy Season: August 1st to Jan. 15th), and people in a
proactive, timely, organized, and effective manner
- Creative, strategic, and critical thinker regarding the assessment of and improvements to current
seminars, training and branding efforts and the development of new program elements that will
enrich the quality of Next Level Consulting's counseling efforts
- Strong desire to work and contribute talent and passion in an entrepreneurial environment
- Experience working with Chinese/Asian students preferred, but not required
- Chinese(Mandarin) preferred, but not required
- A good balance of kindness, humor, patience, pizzazz, integrity and grit
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work closely with colleagues and students through college search, admissions/application process
- Provide quality, 1-on-1 and team-based support in building and executing application strategy and
preparation such as CV building, essay brainstorming and editing, interview training,
recommendation letter advice, etc.
- Enhance students' communications, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Help students better understand American/Western cultures, ethos and pathos via seminars, group
discussions, and other activities
- Communicate with students' parents to provide assessments and progress report
- Help students discover their strengths and weaknesses, encouraging them to persist and achieve
their educational goals in an honorable manner
- Collaborate with colleagues in research, publication of admissions-related information and materials
- Develop new/Improve current consulting and brand-building efforts that exemplify the core values of
Next Level Consulting
COMPENSATION:
- Salary Package: Commensurate with experience(expected range: 30KUSD to 50KUSD)
- Monthly housing allowance, visa arrangement, and health insurance
