Swedbrand is a Swedish owned packaging company with headquarters in Shanghai and offices in Hong Kong, Melbourne & London. Founded in 2006, we are a young and dynamic team from various international backgrounds. Swedbrand is working with major retailers in Europe and the Middle East. As of August 1st, Swedbrand will launch a TRAINEE PROGRAM FOR EUROPEAN UNIVERSITY STUDENTS IN SHANGHAI.
DESCRIPTION OF THE PROGRAM
The program has a total duration of 6 months and will offer 4 – 6 people the unique chance of working in an international and driven environment.
The first four weeks will be comprised of an introduction period, which will be subdivided into three phases.
The 1st phase will be a one-day company presentation, providing substantial information on the company background, products, markets, customers, strengths, weaknesses, prospects and full-time job opportunities.
The 2nd phase will include a four-day training program, providing inside knowledge on print technology, paper, plastic, gluing, design, stitching, quality control an testing. The participants will also visit one of Swedbrand’s production sites to get acquainted to production processes.
The three weeks of the 3rd phase will cover extensive sales training. The trainees will get familiarized with our CRM System and the methodology of phone call presentations. This phase will also include searching and evaluating potential customers and creating CRM system entries along with making phone calls and arranging sales meetings in Europe.
During the entire program the trainees will work in pairs. Business trips will be awarded to one of the two members, depending on performance and the prospect of entering a full-time contract after the termination of the program.
Each team will handle customers on a daily basis. This will include the entire process from customer contact over manufacturing to quality control and logistics.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
This internship will give you the chance to learn about supply chain management, sales and customer relations and logistics management. Besides that you will have the opportunity to develop your interpersonal- and negotiation skills and also profit from the experience of our sales team.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Swedbrand is looking for young and driven people, enjoying challenges and fast-paced work environments. You should be able to work under pressure and open to learning new things. It is indispensable to have good communication and interpersonal skills. Any kind of sales experience is welcome and highly appreciated.
