Internet Marketing Manager with Sales Experience

Full-time at Trekiz online travel company in Beijing

Location: Initially in Beijing. Candidates must be in Beijing or have plans to be immediately for an interview and for the position if selected.

Job specifications and responsibilities:

This role will evolve rapidly, growing with the organization and your interests as we open new markets. It will focus on marketing to an English speaking, Western audience with English language search engines (Google, Bing, Yahoo) and websites (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, English language blogs, etc.).

1. Search Engine Optimization: Further develop and implement organic search strategy, by ensuring website content is optimized for SEO, and by creating and implementing the backlink strategy to drive traffic and Trekiz’s search engine rankings.
2. Affiliate marketing: Design, implement, source and manage affiliate marketing and partner selection.
3. SEM: This role involves the research phase of starting a PPC and Facebook marketing campaign. The ideal candidate should be able to research competitor strategies and relevant keywords to build and implement a profitable SEM campaign.
4. E-mail marketing campaigns if and as appropriate.
5. Social Media Marketing: encompasses a variety of areas including social media advertising, working with marketing team colleagues to manage Trekiz’s own social media properties and content.
6. Support marketing/sales team as needed.

Education and experience requirements:

1. We will consider experienced professionals as well as exceptional people early in their careers
2. BA/BS degree with a strong academic record required
3. A track record of 1-3 years of creativity, internet marketing (SEO, SEM and affiliate marketing) and sales accomplishment.

Key competencies and requirements:

1. Language: Strong to native English language capabilities. Chinese language ability is a plus, but not required.
2. Desire to work in a start-up environment
3. 1-3 years of internet marketing experience (SEO, SEM, affiliate marketing) and sales experience.
4. Track record for being proactive and taking initiative. Strong work ethic. Flexible work style. The ability to define, structure and implement projects with vague requirements.
5. Exceptional writing and communication skills and an interest and ability to bridge Asian and Western cultures in the workplace
6. Proven, professional-level research and analysis capabilities
7. Outstanding creativity, enjoy formulating new promotional ideas
8. Ability and desire to research, learn and apply new marketing techniques
9. Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint capabilities
10. Professional references will be required.
