New Oriental Education & Technology Group (NYSE: EDU), the Leading Provider of Private Education in China, is partnering with Monash University, one of the most distinguished Universities in Australia, to offer a one year foundation program to Chinese students wishing to study abroad. The goal of the foundation program is to prepare Chinese students for study in a native English speaking environment by providing intensive academic instruction in English. Courses offered include comprehensive English, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, and Advanced Mathematics. In addition to providing instruction in English, one of the primary functions of the Foundation Program is to instill the confidence and critical thinking abilities necessary to succeed in a western university. Successful completion of the program will not only guarantee admission into an Australian University, it will also provide students with the English skills necessary to participate in conversation, engage in debate, and acquire competence in public speaking.

New Oriental is currently seeking a qualified teacher of Mathematics to teach in Hangzhou. A highly developed curriculum will be provided by Monash University.

-Start date: Immediately
-Location: Hangzhou
-Subject: Math (functions, Calculus, Statistics)
-Students: ages 16-18
-Number of students per class: max of 25
-Highly developed curriculum provided by Monash University
-Salary: 7,000 rmb/month
-Housing allowance: 1,500rmb/month
-Flight allowance: 10,000rmb/year
-Teaching hours: 10 hours/week; any teaching hours exceeding the 10 hours/week will recieve an hourly salary of 180rmb
-Working days: Mon-Fri
-Contract: 1 year

Ideal candidates should have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and two years teaching experience in mathematics; Experience teaching non-native English learners; Familiarity with China and Chinese culture; TEFL/TESOL Certification preferred; Experience in a Foundation or similar program preferred; Individuals who are capable of teaching multiple subjects preferred.
