Test Administrator (Examiner)

Australian Education Assessment Services (AEAS) wishes to appoint native English speaking Test Administrators in China. We are seeking Test Administrators in the following cities – Dalian, Hangzhou, Qingdao
Test Administrators are required to be available on a casual basis outside business hours, usually Saturdays.
AEAS is located in Melbourne, Australia and has an office in Beijing. AEAS provides a comprehensive assessment service for international students applying for entry into Australian schools. The AEAS Assessment includes English language tests (in five skill areas), mathematical reasoning and general ability tests. AEAS testing is available in over 50 test centres across 20 countries. AEAS may seek to expand its China testing network to other cities. Test sessions in current locations are once or twice monthly. In our well established test locations we often have between 15 – 20 students per test session. Numbers at newer locations are likely to be small initially, with one test session held per month.
The Test Administrator will be responsible for invigilating the written components of the AEAS Assessment – which take approximately 2 ½ - 3 hours – under strict supervision. Speaking tests are conducted individually and take approximately 10 – 15 minutes per student. Written and listening tests are administered in a group setting, with individual interviews following. Group testing takes place in the morning, with speaking interviews following in the afternoon. Speaking tests are recorded.
Successful applicants will meet the Key Selection Criteria and will preferably have experience in testing examination administration under formal conditions. An understanding of test administration, confidentiality and test material security practices will be an advantage.
