Our Client, a Contemporary Art Gallery based in Hong Kong is now looking to recruit a Sales Manager to join their Gallery.
Key responsibilities and duties are:
Develop client relationships, conduct and execute sales, actively pursue clients from gallery client list as well as forge relationships with new clients
Cultivate and maintain contact with collectors, curators, institutions and press, updating them on gallery related activities as well as new works by gallery artists
Overall responsibility for Art Fair execution and sales strategy travel to exhibitions and Art Fairs as needed
Socialize with clients as needed at dinners and openings
Attend gallery and museum openings, benefits and other events as gallery’s representative
The ideal candidate will have:
Exceptional communication skills
Previous sales experience working in a contemporary art environment
Able to work independently and efficiently
Hold and well-established client list
Fluent English is a must, fluent Mandarin would be a bonus
Candidates must have experience working in a contemporary art environment and have a large network of contacts within the art world in Asia, Europe or the US.
