Cheese Tree English Club is an education technology startup in Pudong New District, Shanghai. Offering courses in English, Logic, Math, Science, and Sports, our goal is to provide students with an open-minded approach to developing their practical skills, personal character, and way of thinking. We use a variety of different resources to structure our curriculums, from self-made video, audio, and PPTs to well-established publications and platforms such as SBS, Usborne, McGraw-Hill, and Starfall. This variety of resources ties in greatly with the experiment-oriented working environment we are striving to maintain. With more locations opening in the near future, we are looking for open-minded and passionate individuals to become members of the Cheese Tree Family! Are you ready to get cheesy?
Student Age: 3-11
Class Size: Up to 6/7 students
Responsibilities
• Manage curriculum development and hold classes
• Contribute to the experimental working environment - we want to provide a "Knowledge Feast" for our students!
• Apply expertise and research of training methods in lesson planning and during class
• Track student performance while managing a wide range of learning styles and student tendencies
• Develop personalized teaching styles to manage the classroom environment
• Work with the Store Manager to promote after-class study and foster good relationships between students, parents, and everybody in the Cheese Tree Family
• Closely follow the latest teaching techniques from around the world, assuring that the teaching styles are applicable to the students we serve
Requirements
• Native speakers preferred; non-native speakers should have relevant certifications such as TEFL (120 hours at least), TESOL, IELTS, etc.
• Preferably 40 years of age or younger, all situations will be considered
• Bachelor's Degree or above, Education and Psychology majors preferred
• Have a passion for teaching - the more experience the better!
• A good self-motivator and decision maker
• Be a team player in keeping the working mood light and productive - you will be working with like-minded individuals who are ambitious and want to succeed!
Benefits
• Salary range from 6,000-15,000RMB per month (depending on experience)
• Z Visa provided, following a one month probation period
• 10 days paid annual leave plus all Chinese public holidays
