Quality Inspector

Lasso is a progressive Australian company involved in logistics, procurement and contract manufacturing. We require a quality inspector to be based in our Shenzhen office.
A quality inspector ensures the effective communication of quality requirements to suppliers and confirm these requirements are met before product is shipped to Lasso clients.
The role of this position is as follows:
1) Conduct factory QC visits to ensure suppliers can meet our quality requirements
2) Communication of requirements to suppliers
3) Thorough understanding of the product and quality requirements of clients
4) Maintain relationship with key personnel in factories to ensure quality requirements are met
5) Maintain all relevant QA documentation, ensuring that it is reflective of the operations and up to date
6) Conduct QC checks of all products prior to shipping to Lasso clients
7) Keep senior management aware of issues pertaining to supply and quality of product
The person we are looking for must have the following qualities:
1) Understanding the cultural and manufacturing mindset of Chinese suppliers
2) Experience in QC of product within China
3) Mandarin language capability and confidence in his/her ability to be clearly understood
4) Enjoys visiting and travelling to various locations in China and Thailand
5) Enjoys the challenges of researching new products and working with factories to improve product quality
6) Enjoys travelling with and entertaining clients
