The Project Manager oversees the development and delivery of ReignDesign's client projects from start to finish. You will maintain our processes and best practices and will have freedom to improve either. You are a well organized individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage client expectations as well as teams of developers, designers and testers. You're a savvy problem-solver, someone who can keep your cool and has a sense of humor even in the worst scenarios - a good company culture is important at ReignDesign.
Responsibilities/objectives:
Assess, prepare and update all documents through the project lifecycle: Work/effort estimations, timelines, status updates, project signoffs.
Manage resourcing and budgets for projects Communicate roles & responsibilities of team members for each project.
Day-to-day management of inter-disciplinary project teams, third-party developers or designers
Facilitate effective processes, workflows and internal collaboration.
Be aware of, and help to remove, blockages that might arise for any team-member
Be the initial point of contact for the client, for any client's concerns or questions, and manage communication with the client.
Requirements:
2+ years' experience as a project manager, preferably in a software development environment
Experience budgeting, scheduling, and leading a project from strategy and planning through launch
Extremely organized and detail-oriented professional with an ability to juggle multiple projects and competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
Solutions-driven self-starter with the confidence and initiative to make things happen.
Responsive and flexible to evolving responsibilities and changing client needs.
Capable of leading inter-disciplinary teams on small to mid-scale digital projects across various clients and/or lines of business.
Must possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with a variety of team members at all levels of the organization.
Must have strong conflict resolution, facilitation and problem solving skills.
Should be an excellent communicator, with strong written and oral communication skills.
Proficiency with general Tech - PM software and tools like versioning (i.e. svn, github), bugtracking tools, PM tools (basecamp)
Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint
General understanding of the capabilities and limitations of design software such as Photoshop / Illustrator
Familiarity with mobile technologies (iPhone, Android) and app stores is a major plus
Familiarity with PM webapp tools (Basecamp) is a plus
