Native English Teachers of TOEFL/SAT/AP Subjects

Full-time at Guangzhou Zuanshuo Cultural Exchange Events Planning, Ltd. in Guangzhou

We are the International Office of Guangdong Zhongyuan Secondary School, and we have three other International offices cooperated with the senior high schools in Haizhu, Liwan and Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center District of Guangzhou. So far we are looking for native teachers who can teach senior high school students full-time on courses related to TOEFL/SAT/AP.

Position Specification:
1. Job Type: Full time
2. Working Hours: Monday to Friday: 7:50 AM to 12:10 AM, 2:30 PM to 5:45 PM (40 work hours per week, including 20~25 class periods at 40 minutes per class period)
3. Location: Panyu, Haizhu or Liwan District of Guangzhou
4. Salary Range: RMB 15,000 – 25,000 per month
(Salary can be negotiated depending on your educational background, teaching qualifications and teaching experience; with a full salary probationary period of 3 months)
5. Other Conditions:
Working visa required and provided;
Annual round-trip flight fare as around RMB 8,000;
Accommodation or housing allowance provided;
Performance bonus provided;
Holidays: Chinese public holidays, Summer Holiday (around 7 weeks), Winter Holiday (around 3 weeks);
6. Starting date: end of August, 2014

Job Description:
1. Teach the designated subject;
2. Formulate and carry out the course syllabus and lesson plan;
3. Do necessary research or observations to improve your teaching materials, teaching methods and classroom management skills;
4. Make sure the course content is valuable to students;
5. Give students assignments, and grade them in time with proper feedback to help the students improve their academic performance;
Perform office hours apart from teaching hours;
6. Participate in teaching staff projects, routine staff meeting, staff training and team building events;
7. Participate in student events and give students necessary assistance for event planning;
8. Supervise study group, after-school activities and student clubs activities, such as sports clubs, drama club, art club or music group;
9. Be punctual and responsible.

Candidates Requirements for Teaching TOEFL/SAT Subjects:
1. Native English speakers only, United States citizen preferred but not required;
2. A minimum of 2 years Academic English teaching experience, with ESL, TEFL, TESOL or CELTA certificate;
3. Bachelor Degree or above in English/Education, or other equivalent majors;
4. High level of commitment and enthusiasm for teaching and academic studies;
5. In-depth command of ESL/TOEFL/SAT teaching methods, standardized test-taking techniques and problem-solving skills;
6. For SAT instructor candidates, SAT score above 2000 is preferred.

Candidate Requirements for Teaching SATⅡand AP Subjects:
1. Native English speakers only, United States citizen preferred but not required;
2. A minimum of 3 years Academic English teaching experience, with ESL, TEFL, TESOL or CELTA certificate;
3. Bachelor Degree or above in science or arts, especially with a major in Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, Biology, Literature, History, Politics, Social Science or Economics.
4. High level of commitment and enthusiasm for teaching and academic studies;
5. In-depth command of SATⅡand AP teaching methods, standardized test-taking techniques and problem-solving skills;
