Occupational Therapist in an educational company

Full-time at The Essential Learning Group in Shanghai

Qualifications and Experience
1.Graduate of an accredited WFOT Occupational Therapy Program
2.Licensed or registered to practice in their home country
3.Minimum two (2) years clinical experience. Experience working with children in the areas of Autism Spectrum Disorder, Motor Development, Sensory Processing Disorders and Special Education would be an asset
4.Proficiency in English and/or Mandarin; other native language speakers will be considered

Key Responsibilities
1.Understand and apply the concepts of Occupational Performance when enabling clients and their families
2.Apply a client-centred approach when developing and implementing OT goals which are occupation-focused, targeted and measurable.
3.Provide direct service, consultation, mediation and education to client, family and community providers with a focus on maximizing a child's function in the areas of self-care; productivity (school and play skills) and leisure (community participation)
4.Utilize research to establish and support evidence-based practice
5.Provision of in-school consultations to parents and/or teachers as and when needed
