Speech and Language Therapist

Job title: Speech and Language Therapist
Reports to: Team Leader & School and Clinic Manager
The duties of the Speech and Language Therapist at the Family Services Clinic are as follows:
1) to provide comprehensive SLT assessments and therapies to children (birth-18 years old) in the local and international community, through the FSC
2) to assist designing IEP’s for students at the CfC SEN School and other international schools
3) to provide SLT services to students at CfC SEN School and other the international schools
4) To develop SLT services within the local Chinese community
5) To train parents, teachers and local Chinese staff through the FSC
6) to provide parent support
7) to contribute to and be active in the multi disciplinary team
Responsibilities:
- Working responsibly, proactively and cooperatively as part of the CfC School & Clinic’s multi-disciplinary team in the best interests of each child
- Being accountable for professional documentation and recording of assessments and therapies, according to the School & Clinic’s procedures and policies
- Being involved in evaluating and modifying when appropriate the School and Clinic’s services, programs, and procedures
- Contributing to in-service training to CfC SEN school
- Developing and maintaining positive and productive professional relationships with intern and external colleagues
- Following the School and Clinic’s policy on professional confidentiality
