Marketing Administrator

Full-time at GCiS China Strategic Research in Beijing

GCiS China Strategic Research is a US- and Chinese owned research-based corporate advisory firm. Founded in 1998, our focus is on business to business sectors in Mainland China that cover industrial products & devices, chemicals & materials, construction and power & energy. We provide tailor made research for strategic consulting projects and off-the-shelf market research reports to our clients, who include some of the biggest names in industry. GCiS is headquartered at the heart of the 798 Arts District in Beijing and has sales offices in Shanghai and Berlin.



We are currently recruiting a full-time marketing administrator in Beijing. The basic role of a marketing administrator is:



1. Call-list population. Internet based searches for details of potential customers for our reports. This will typically be oriented around a product or product category.

2. PR management. Making sure our PR efforts are optimized (e.g., searching for our online visibility), finding and contacting print media organizations to publish our articles, maintaining a relationship with journalists and media organizations.

3. E-mail campaigns. Sending our marketing emails to contacts on the call list and emailing follow-up documents. Note that this is not a sales role in the sense that you earn commission or directly contact clients.



This is an entry-level role, reporting directly to the division manager. All necessary training will be provided, however an interest in the sectors mentioned in the first paragraph will be helpful. As the role involves significant amount of time accessing details of individuals and companies in English-speaking countries, a native or near-native command of English is essential. You must also be qualified to reside in China. Basic compensation is RMB 4-5k per month (after tax), with a bonus of RMB2-3k (after tax) available for meeting monthly quota targets and conversion rates.
