Shanghai Newbio Therapeutic Inc (NBT) is currently seeking a talented and innovative Director, Antibody Department to join our newly formed biotech company located at Shanghai Zhangjiang Pharma Valley in China.
As a Director, Antibody Department you will be responsible for providing experienced organizational, technological, and scientific leadership in the lead generation process. Using state of art technology for antibody generation identify new biological entities for NBT development pipeline. To develop and manage Lead Generation group activities related to the generation and characterization of antibodies and protein therapeutics.
Responsibilities:
Provide scientific, technical, organizational leadership for Lead Geneartion group in support of research goals established for NBT; Assist in defining company strategy.
Responsibility for Lead Generation activities including designing and optimization of immunogen, lead geneartion and characterization and related biological binding and other needed assays.
Recruit, retain, and develop high quality staff; Manage performance of direct and indirect reports.
Desired Skills & Experience
Requires intensive experience in management responsibility and the development of antibody therapeutics in a drug discovery setting.
Requires broad and thorough knowledge of the immunology, molecular biology and biochemistry aspects of antibody generation.
Requires the ability to communicate effectively by oral presentation, written technical reports, and scientific publications.
Requires the ability to manage all aspects of the design, engineering, and generation of monoclonal antibody therapeutics.
