QC Engineer/Inspector

Full-time at Confidential in Beijing

About us: We are a US company active in the China trade since 1978.

Primary activities of the company are:
-- Sourcing services for USA, Australian, and EU importers;

We are hiring for our Beijing Office.

Position: QC Engineer/Inspector

QC Engineer:
• Provides technical support to the business in understanding customer technical and quality requirements i.e.: drawings, specifications, standards, tests, specific requirements
• Provides technical advice for preventing identified non-conformities (i.e.: changes in manufacturing processes, standards, test procedures, etc)
• Carry inspections, prepare inspection reports and complete relevant inspection documentation
• Prepare product specifications when necessary and liaise with the business to collect relevant information
• Perform site visits when necessary to verify supplier production and process capability
• Perform in process inspections and/ or final inspections as necessary against customer requirements
• Maintains a log of customer samples, and manage customer samples

Minimum requirements:
• Degree in Mechanical engineering
• Technical knowledge: ASTM and Chinese equivalent standards, ability to read technical drawings and draft Product specification
• Attention to detail and Logical thinker
• Ability to obtain, interpret and present information
• Familiar with casting, forging and metalwork processes
• Ability to meat deadlines and work well under pressure
• Willingness to travel when necessary,
• Good communication skills in English and Chinese
• Reliable person

The ideal candidate will have experience in the boiler industry (manufacturing or engineering).

QC Inspector:
• Conducts final Quality Control inspections verifying product workmanship, documentation and conducting tests to ensure the product meets established quality requirements
• Uses inspection procedures and drawings to determine acceptability of product.
• Provides immediate feedback to factory and CPG Quality Manager when product quality is drifting or does not meet specification and returns for rework as necessary
• Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs
• Plan inspection preparing relevant documentation and inspection check lists
• Following company policies, procedures and processes
• Perform other duties as assigned by Quality Manager
• Ensure inspections are carried out in a timely manner according to the Inspection Schedule.
• Liaise with CPG team members and Supplier representative in matters related to final inspection

• Good communication skills in English and Chinese
