Head/Deputy Head of Admissions

Full-time at Foreigner HR in Beijing

Position: Head/Deputy Head of Admissions
Location: Beijing

Client introduction:
Our client is a prestigious international school that provides schooling to students from kindergarten to high school. Their students are made up of a number of nationalities. The school is expanding throughout mainland China and is one of the best known international schools in Asia.

Responsibilities:
1. Ensure the smooth running of the admissions office.
2. Formulate admissions procedures in relation to the changing environment and needs according to admissions strategy and policies.
3. Evaluate continually and redesign where appropriate all aspects of the admissions process with the goal of maintaining a capacity enrollment of qualified students.
4. Provide updated student numbers and projection reports to relevant parties.
5. Keep relevant statistics on all aspects of the admission and re-enrollment program.
6. Develop the admissions budget and appropriate admissions materials that promote the school to prospective students.
7. Direct the admissions process from point of inquiry through enrolment.
8. Cooperate closely with the marketing department to reach the common goal of maximizing student numbers.
9. Present the school to prospective students and parents, including systematic and efficient handling of applications, communication with candidates and their parents, school tours, interviews with potential parents, arrangements for admissions testing, securing of necessary student credentials; and communicating final decisions to the families
10. Organize orientation events for new parents.
11. Work closely with the marketing department to ensure that advertisements and promotional materials are correct and accurate.
12. Liaise with all academic and non-academic school departments to ensure good communication and information flow.
13. Network with other admissions officers in the school and the Beijing community.
14. Work with Human Resources Dept. for Admissions staff recruitment and personal development.
15. Staff performance review.
16. Staff coaching and maintaining the professional level observed in daily operation.


Requirements:
1. Bachelor degree or above.
2. 8 years of relevant working experience with 3+ at supervisory level preferred.
3. Sales and sales management experience highly preferred.
4. Strong interpersonal and communications skills (including ability to speak fluently in English and Mandarin).
5. Creative, detail driven, well-organized, and excellent time management.
5. Highly energetic/self-motivated individual and able to work under pressure.
6. Able to work independently and with good sensitive on team work.
7. Native English Speaker and Advanced Chinese language skills, both written and spoken.
8. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, notably Excel, Outlook, PPT and Word.

Salary and benefits:
1. Basic Salary: 30,000-35,000CNY/month
2. Medical insurance: up to 20,000 CNY medical insurance including dental insurance
3. Holidays: Chinese National Holidays plus 20 annual leave
4. Working visa
5. Free schooling for children from kindergarten to high school
