The Apple Quality team is looking for a motivated, highly technical Supplier Quality Engineering Manager to support our growth.
Principal Accountabilities / Responsibilities:
You will work closely with Apple design engineering, product development, operations, customer service, and contract manufacturers to develop the next generation on iPod and iPhone and manage the quality of shipping products.
You are an industry-leading flex/PCB professional with extensive technical background in test, process, quality or development. You are familiar with the following processes: – Knowledge of bare flex manufacturing process (plasma cleaning, drilling, lamination, etching, plating processes) – Flex DFM / DFT experience – SMT experience – Basic flex testing test methodology (open -shorts ; ICT test; functional test; RF/ WiFi testing )
As a quality manager, you are able to :
• Providing technical leadership to the Apple flex quality team
• Support supplier selection process for new products and second sourcing activities supporting qualification/disqualification decisions.
• Assess supplier production control and quality programs, identify shortfalls to expectation, and directly secure agreement to correct.
• Review PQP with supplier and other Apple functional groups to optimize supplier quality programs.
• Evaluates supplier readiness at all development and qualification stages though detailed audits and measurement of production line statistics, company inspections, and audits. Prepare summary of performance and communicate to appropriate management to ensure effective corrective action plans can be promptly executed.
• Provide hands-on trouble shooting support during development; drive failure analysis and corrective actions to closure
Key Requirement:
• BS in Electronic or Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years of relevant working experience in quality, test, process or R & D management role flex technology company or as flex technology manager in OEM / ODM/ CM company.
• Good understanding of SQA methodologies & practices
• Excellent communication in English. Chinese skills preferred.
• Comfortable with supporting engineering with very frequent international and domestic travel (over 70%).
• Ability to work with manage a wide range of people and issues.
• Hands-on problem solving skills essential

• Experience in process / testing cellular technologies (GSM/GPRS)
• PCBA & Flex assembly and testing
• DFM/DFX
