Chinavasion Wholesale Ltd is seeking a smart and highly motivated consumer electronics expert to join the team in our office in Xili, Nanshan District, Shenzhen.
Our internal job title for this role is “Product Selection Manager” and this is a key decisionmaking role in our company for evaluating the quality, pricing, and marketability of new products proposed by our Sourcing Team for adding to the Chinavasion product range. You will be responsible for managing the addition and end-of-life removal of products in upwards of 30 product subcategories. You must be highly informed about electronic gadgets, plugged in to the current news and trends, as well as a heavy user/buyer of technology yourself.

Chinavasion sources finished consumer-ready products from over 100 different Chinese
suppliers, mostly unbranded. Chinavasion operates a very strict quality and product
qualification process as well as strictly enforcing respect for IPR in all aspects. We only
advertise products for sale which are actually held in stock in our warehouse.
Consequently the sample testing, supplier and sample sourcing, SKU documentation and quality control processes are critical elements in our business model and value for our hundreds of thousands of awesome international customers. At any time we have around 1000 active SKUs, all of which are in the consumer electronics categories. We are interested in candidates who have experience in AT LEAST SOME of the following
working areas:
- Sourcing products from factories in Mainland China
- Developing, designing, or trading in consumer electronics
- Hands on quality control, or repair, or consumer fault testing
- Consumer facing technical support for electronics
- Electronics support or supply for the military
- Being a senior buyer for a large importer from China or for a company dealing in
electronics
- Consumer electronics journalism on a serious basis
- Managing staff or managing business processes in any of the above working areas
It is absolutely essential that you have proven stability working in Mainland China and you understand the unique challenges of sourcing and procurement in this country.
Experience in ecommerce, China B2B websites, or any form of online marketing are all
advantages.
If you have specialized experience in one particular category such as security cameras,
components, PC hardware, toys etc, this could be interesting but the job is still a generalist one where we expect you to take line-up management of a wide range of things within the general consumer electronics field.
This is a full time office job with competitive salary for a person of any nationality, although we prefer North Americans and Europeans due to local culture understanding of consumer tastes. Good English is essential; we prefer someone who is a good Chinese speaker although not 100% essential as the supplier communications are done by the Sourcing and Purchase Teams, and majority of our team speak good English.
Salary depends on applicable experience. Let us know your target salary level in your
