About the Role:

1. Edit, publish, and manage content for company social media real-estate including:
- Facebook,
- Twitter,
- Google+
- Youtube
- Flickr, Tumblr, and other photo publishing sites
- Various social 'answer' websites
- Various 'web 2.0' content publishing sites.
This involves regular scheduled publishing and editing work, as well as coordinating with several other colleagues to support promotions, launches, competitions, surveys, etc.
2. Main tester / project support for software integration projects with Facebook and other social media platforms
3. Main editor for Chinavasion Blog
4. Main editor for Chinavasion www shop customer product reviews
5. Main editor for company "about us" content on www, wikipedia, linkedin, and business directories
6. Main team responsibility for monitoring and developing public feedback forums and ratings websites
7. Project responsibilities for online reputation management work
8. Manage company online anti-piracy strategy including case management of DMCA-takedown issuing and correspondence
9. Test and manage minor or newly developing online social marketing platforms
10. Cooperate with Media and Web Design colleagues for creation of content such as banners, web pages, graphics, videos, and newsletters.
11. Project work developing customer feedback and forum channels
12. Support regular Marketing Dept product launches
13. Support regular Chinavasion SEO work, including social bookmarking work
14. Support regular Affiliates marketing work and promotions
15. Request and analyze web analytics information relating to areas under this JD
16. Inform and advise company social media marketing strategy
17. Main team responsibility for monitoring Google Alerts on Chinavasion news items
18. Backup on edit/publish/curate responsibilities of Web Design and Catalog colleagues in relation to www content pages, knowledgebase, newsletter, and FTP content.
19. Provide regular reports, feedback, and suggestions on all areas of work under the JD
20. Proactively request permission to develop new experiments to expand the scope of the JD in order to adapt to the fast-changing online marketing environment

About You (Native English Person):

 At least 5 years working experience in total
 At least 3 years working experience in internet-focused work
 At least 1 job experience working in marketing / promotions / advertising
 Active user of social media and web 2.0 internet technology
 Displays strong interest in, and knowledge of, the general concept of social media marketing, even if it is only from a Chinese internet view (it is a totally different scene in the Chinese internet but some of the same principles apply)

 More than 5 years total experience is preferred
 Team-leader level management experience is an advantage
 MBA or education qualification related to business or marketing would be an advantage
 Freelance or agency marketing work, enabling the candidate to have a wider variety of experience of commercial marketing issues, is a strong advantage
 Experience directly relating to any of the JD-mentioned social media sites or other responsibility areas, is an advantage
 Experience blogging or publishing own website is an advantage
 Experience working in foreign companies
 Experience working on English / Western websites is a strong advantage
 Experience in multimedia advertising, graphic design, or print creative
